Help! i need to know what something is called that hangs form the ceiling in a bedroom?

my mom describes it as:

above the bed, on the ceiling theres this circular thing that hangs a lacy curtain thing (like a canopy bed) down over the bed...and we don't know what it's called..

You mean a mosquito net? They use them in tropical areas where mosquitos are more than just a problem.It could also be called a pelmet/canopy/valance etc.

I know what you're talking about, but don't know what it's called either!  lol

But, why don't you try looking at a website that sells bedding to see if you can find one.  Then you can see what's it;s name is.
