i want to lose about ten pounds in two weeks. any tips on what to refrain from eating, and what kind of exercises i should do and how long?

  1. If you refrain from eating, you will gain weight. Your body will sense it's getting no food and go into starvation mode during which time anything you do it will be stored in body fat. It's actually a better idea to eat several small meals a day. That will increase your metabolism. Don't eat foods that are high in fat; eat only lean meats, veggies, fruits, and some other food like yogurt, wheat bread, peanuts, and skim milk.

    Go on brisk one hour jogs every day. That sounds like a lot, but since you only have two weeks you don't have much choice...

    Edit: Using the strictly mathematical model, if you cut out 1000 calories per day from your maintenance level, that will add up to a 7000-calorie deficit in one week. There are 3500 calories in a pound of stored body fat, so cutting out 1000 calories a day should – in theory – produce a weight loss of two pounds per week. Actual real world fat loss rarely works out with such mathematical precision.

    If there existed an airtight mathematical relationship between caloric intake and weight loss, cutting caloric intake from 3000 to 1000 would result in a 60,000 calorie per year deficit – and would result in a 200 pound weight loss after a year. What if the person began the diet weighing 200 pounds, would he disappear?

    You should have about 40 minutes of cardio exercise every day 5-6 times a week.

    Btw you can only lose 1-3lbs a week.

  3. any exercise would help your wouldn't lose a significant amount of weight in two weeks because it wouldn't be safe or possible but try to eat as healthy as possible like small portions eat every 3 hours 3 meals two snack(lowwwwwwwwwww calorie) and lots of veggies! and fruits take a multivitamin also you can wourk out for up tp 3 hours a day just know when your body is telling you to stop.

    exercises that would help are:

    running (30 mins to 2 hours) just dont over-exert yourself!!

    home tapes (cardio or aerobics)

    dumbbells (muscle burns fat and weighs less)

    walking briskly (up to 2 hours)

    dancing!! (whenever you get tired)

    etc..

    you'll be sore but it'll be worth it when it's all done!!

    just have willpower to deal with the food and you're good to go

  4. losing weight is a mathematical equation. 3500 calories = 1 pound. if you can reduce your caloric intake and increase your physical activity then you will lose weight. stay away from fats and sugars. complex carbs (starch) are healthy for you so don't exclude them from your diet. simple carbs (sugar) is bad. try to stick to a diet of about 2000 calories a day.
