Question:

Help identify a strange insect!?

About three weeks ago, I was working when I saw a strange-looking insect crawl across the floor. It was about two inches long and dark brown/black. It had long legs and a lower torso larger than its head and abdomen. It also had very long antennae, at least as long (or longer) than its body. It moved in a scuttling sort of way, but when I tried to hit it with a heavy object, it jumped about a foot in the air.

I've tried to look for images of this insect online, but haven't found what it is. Based on its actions, I think it might be some kind of cricket, although it was larger than any cricket I've ever seen. Is it possible it could be a type of cockroach? Any other ideas on this mystery bug? D:
