Question:

Help identitfy this spider?

I would like to know the name of a spider that is black with goldish yellow markings on it's abdomen.

I have tried a lot of websites and search engines and found nothing. Please help. Is it poisonous or not

  4. need picture then i could tell u.it's probably not dangerous. there are only two "deadly" spiders in the u.s.(you r in the us right?)a black widow, or a brown recluse.since it's black,that rules out the brown recluse entirely.(which by the way are not usually deadly unless bitten on face, near heart or on abdomen,or if it bites a young child, either way the wounds occur slowly over several days and are VERY prominent and noticable) since it is black, but does not have the red hourglass on it's underside, hind end, i wuoldn't be worried.(and even black widows don't usually kill when they bite, unless it's the very young or very old, not saying it wont hurt, allot tho)it might be a male  black widow(i can't remember the marking the males have) but they're not piosonous anyway. let it go, it'll kill bugs for you. he's right it's prolly a garden spider.

  5. It sounds like a typical "garden spider".  If so, it is not dangerous.  Almost all spiders are considered poisonous.  Most have poison that is so weak, it cannot hurt a human.
