Help! im desperate!?....theres a slobered dead mouse in the living room!?

I'm going to school in a little while and everyone in my family doent want to touch my dog....he just killed a mouse and hes acting weird...not rabies weird cuz mice dont carry rabies unless they are bitten by a rabid animal too.

whatt do I do hes acting funny!:(

That mouse comes from outside,dumpsters and other dirty areas.Those dirty areas have animals with rabies.Maybe the mouse had it and when you killed it he probably got it.Take him to the vet

I have a Jack Russell and because heinstinctively  catches small things (mice and fly-in cockroaches) he considers a threat he kills them and brings them to me. I never negatively react because his breed was bred to originally catch rats.Thank goodness he hasn't presented me with one of those! Give your doggy lots of attention and ask the family to treat the dog like they used to.He's reacting to the people he loves rejecting him.At least the mouse didn't climb into bed with any of you.Give the dog a bone!

Ok, firstly grab a plastic bag and put your hand into it, pick up the mouse through the plastic bag and invert it (turn it inside out). Now, pick up your ******* dog and take him, mouse and all to a vet. Forget school, this comes first. It may be poison.

please explain HOW hes acting wierd.

Weird in what way? The dog may be poised... go to the vet.

Glad your doggy is ok! One can never be sure. My sisters dog is a rat catcher... she catches the rats in the stables where they both live (sis and Zara her dog). She catches the rats / mice and eats them!! The vet just said to give her a "special" worming tablet twice a year because of eating the vermin. You don't know what sort of worms and parasites the rat / mouse had on it or in it! But my sisters dogs is perfectly healthy and there is nothing wrong with her! If your dog had never got hold of a rat before the weird behaviour may have been intrigue and excitement! It was hard to know how to respond as you weren't specific about  what the "weird" behaviour was. Best of luck; regards.

acting weird how? like sick? it he seems to be acting sick best thing to do is take it to the vet.

oic...yea he probably thought you'd be upset with him.. my dog does that when shes done something she knows she shouldnt have she'll lay down and give me her puppy eyes.

If the mouse has been poisoned chance are the dog may be too..   GO TO THE VET
