Hydrangea plants of the same genotype are planted in a large flower garden. Some of the plants produce blue flowers and other pink flowers. This can best be explained by?

A) The allele for blue hydrangea being completely dominant

B) The alleles being condominant

C) The fact that a mutation has occured

D) Environmental factors such as soil PH

  1. E.  absolutely sure of it.  and I might add that the hydrangea's genotype might have been heterozygous for blue and pink.
