Question:

Help in Finding a new tennis racket

I've been playing tennis for about 5 years now and I've decided to buy a new racket. I've been playing with 2 rackets and have restrung them multiple times. Just recently, I've been using my friend's Head Liquidmetal 8.5 and I seem to be playing better than ever with it. So I'm trying to find a racket that has the same specs, but not the same racket. I went to Big5 and the Sports Authority, but none of the rackets meet my standards.

I've been told that Babolat makes fine rackets.

For my friend's racket that I'm borrowing:

Headsize 112 sq. inches

Gripsize is 4 1/4

Swing Style 8

  1. go to tennis.com and click on the link for gear, they have a "racket finder,"

you enter your current racket and they list the specs and you pick if you want changes

i.e. power (more, less, about the same)

  2. maybe at http://tennishoes-review.blogspot.com/ you can find

    thanks - http://gym-review.blogspot.com/

  3. I think that there are a few racquets that might fit your style perfectly. Here are my best suggestions that are mostly only sold at real tennis shops. These are real pricey, but for your style of play they do get expensive. These are the best on the market.

    1. Prince Speedport Platinum- This is the most powerful racquet in the world and it's combined with the amazing speedport technology that was 2007 Tennis Invention of the Year.

    2. Head Metallix 10- This one has a very interesting design. It is extremly powerful too and has some great qualities with a huge head size giving it a much bigger sweet spot.

Here's the racquet you should go with if you want to save some money

Head Liquidmetal 8- This was the most powerful racquet in the Head series til' they came out with the Metallix line. It plays well and has a nice margin for error. It's not an extremly pricey racquet and should fit your game well
