  1. Use a squeegee to  clean them (you can find them in the cleaning section of a home improvement store).

Fill a bucket with a gallon of water or so and about a cup of glass cleaner (like Windex). Use a rag to wash down the glass with the cleaning solution. Use the squeegee going side to side to clear all of the water off of the glass. Use an old dry towel between passes to dry out the squeegee blade. When you're done, use the towel to pick up any residual water on the window frame and to wipe off any dirt. Use another dry towel to buff the window clean. You will not have any streaks.

The problem with spraying on a window cleaner and wiping it off is that there is still a residue of dirt, grime, or film on the window after wiping it. This is what causes the streaks. Because you're removing all of the cleaning solution from the glass with the squeegee, there are no streaks when you buff it dry.

The squeegee method is also very quick. It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes a side for each door.

  2. to have a streak free shine on one side of the glass clean horizontally and on the other clean vertically this will make smuges eaiser to find.

  3. You can clean a window anytime. It is just best to clean it before it is in direct sunlight. Can you clean it before or after work? Just use white vinegar and water. Usually cleans streak free. The direct sunlight just dries out the surface quickly and that is why streaks happen more frequently during that time period.
