What is economics like? You can compare it to a thing or something. Or maybe use some adjectives please :)

I will put it in different ways:

1. Economics is somewhat like mathematics and logic - you define problems and silve them optimally.

2. Economics is like medicine: you study a complex system, establsih causal relationships among the different parts of the body, identify what is normal and normal growth, identify problems and symptoms of imbalance, disorder, sickness in the system, devise technologies to measure these imbalnces and sickness/ heath indicators (econometric estimation and forecasting), develop the cures and medicines or treatment to cure illness (like inflation/ unemployment).

3. Economics is appealing and interesting but difficult to understand and comprhend the complexity.

4. Economics is easy because it talks of standard of living, consumption, utility and the economists themselves differ widely in their opinions and therefore evey person can claim to be economists without knowing economics.

5. Economics is something that cannot be ignored whether you want to a great finance guy or a great technologists or a great politician or a great industrialist.

6. Economics like a fashionable area in which there is plenty of opportunity to discuss and debate.

7. Economics is a dismal science that gives warnings, no free lunch and yet makes people addicted to the subjects that Economics deals with.

8. Economics is like a handsome magician or a beauty that attracts you and remain slippery or illusory.

9. Economics is like philosophy that discovers unpalatable truth.

10. Economics is an hazardous adventure under the ocean to find out strange things.
