Help it would say dns server error on my ps3?

HI,I SCAN, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON MY PS3 AND IT OBTAIN THE IP ADDRESS AND WHEN IT GOT TO THE INTERNET CONNECTION IT SAID DNS SERVER ERROR.I HAVE A LINKSYS ROUTER. MY PC CAN CONNECT TO IT FINE, BUT IT WOULD SAY ON THE PC AND THE COMPUTER THEIR IS AN IP ADDRESS CONFLICT. IS THAT WHY MY PS3 CANT CONNECT.I EVEN USE DHCP! I EVEN TURN OFF THE ROUTER AND RESTARTED IT ,BUT IT SAID DNS SERVER ERROR.I HAVE CHARTER HIGH SPEED INTERNET. PLEASE HELP . AND EXPLIN IN GOOD DETAIL !
