Help laptop mouse stop working?

i have a laptop and the mouse that is built into it has stopped working i think i might have locked it up i have have tried everything rebooting going into the settings nothing works the only way i can work the computer is to use a pug in mouse. please help my mouse that is built into laptop and it is like a sensor pad i think but it stopped working i can only use plug in mouse. please make it work

  1. Press the windows button and go to control panel. Go to mouse settings. You might have disabled the mouse. If it doesn't recognise it try and find the driver CD.
