Question:

Help- laptop speaker howling?

I have a lenovo 3000 N100 laptop. The speaker has just started howling. If you lower the volume below about 33 you can't hear it but above that it's a howl. If you pick up the computer and tilt it it effects it too (gets less loud). Has the speaker just gone bad? It happens whether you're in any program or none at all. Everything else works. (if you don't need sound i guess.) If it is the speaker, is there a part I buy and plug in or is it a repair job somewhere? Thanks.

(yes ive checked the controls etc).
