i was wondering how big of tank would i need for two adult leopered geckos also what are the pros and cons of sand

pros:

*naturalistic

Cons:

*like smoking a cigarette.

*They will get slightly impacted from it.

*There is about a 70% chance that they will become severely impacted over the course of their lifetime (20 years).

*I would say about a 60-80%% chance of death.

Okay, so...

One adult can be housed in a 10 gallon, and for every other gecko a good rule of thumb is to add 5 gallons. So I would say 20 gallons would make a large, comfortable home for them. :D

The pros and cons of sand:

The pros:

can be more natural looking

The cons:

can cause impaction, which more often then not leads to death.

hard to clean, some form of paper is much easier.

sand gets EVERYWHERE, believe me, not just in tank.

has been known to cause respiratory problems.

So, please don't use sand, it just isn't worth the risk.

2 will fit in a 20 long well but make sure they arent both male other then that good luck with the leos.
