I am looking for a safe front facing car seat. I read where someone had a Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe Convertible Car Seat and compared it to the britex. Does anyone now where I can find this seat. I'd like it to be pretty for a girl.

  1. I just bought a convertible car seat for my almost 7 months old.  Its an evenflow brand and its really comfy!  Like $55 at Babies R Us.  There is one at WalMart for like $45 but it's horrible, spend the extra ten dollars, it's a great seat.

  2. The Safe Voyage has been discontinued, which means you won't find any new ones in the stores. You might find some on online-shopping sites; they will be at least a year old, which would affect how long you acn use it (expiration date and all). I don't know about the colors.

  3. I have only seen it online ( I am not sure what stores sell it). I have only seen it in black and red. Cosco scenrea is another carseat that is low cost but very safe and comes in a girlie color....they are sold in walmart. I have also heard good things about the Apex 65 Booster Car Seat. I think saftey first makes it.....but I don't think it comes in multipile colors.

  4. Albeebaby.com has them. They are marked down significantly because they are actually no longer making them. It is a great seat, modeled after the Britax Marathon, but without some of the "fancy" Britax extras.

They actually discontinued these seats a year or two ago, so any seat that you find now will have a manufacture date that is a year or two old. It isn't a huge deal, but because car seats do typically "expire" after six years, it is something to consider. Especially if you have other children that you want it down to.
