ok over this summer i became anorexic, i lost like 25 lbs since last school year which is very noticeable because im only 5ft. im in recovery now but i have only gained back 5 lbs. i currently weight 81 lbs. i start school again tomorrow, but i dont want anyone to know about this. im in recovery so its not like i will keep losing weight, i will hopefully healthily gain to a healthy weight. but as for now, can someone please help me think of ways to make myself look a little fuller so people dont start saying im anorexic!

i got my hair cut short to give my face a more fuller look, but not its just flat, does anyone know how i can give my hair more body with angles curving in at my face?

and what kind of clothes should i wear to not emphasize my skinniness? but i dont want to wear like big baggy clothes, i want to look nice for the first day of school.

help please!

also, any makeup to help?

  1. Hello,

Sounds like you have a mega problem huh?

First off, eat a lot and tomorrow at lunch make sure to eat something so that no one can say anything.  Okay, another thing is to maybe wear curl your hair or make it wavy so that it looks healthy because straight hair will make your face longer.  For your clothes, wear jeans and maybe a school shirt because those are usually a little bit bigger just don't wear really tight clothes.  Also, put on some foundation and blush.  It will look really good with the curly or wavy hair.

Good luck and have a great first day of school!

  2. To begin: CONGRATULATIONS on your recovery process. It takes a lot of guts to recover, and it isn't easy. You've made a wise and courageous choice to address this problem now rather than later.

As far as the clothing thing is concerned - well - there is a bottom line here. You've lost a great deal of weight. It's difficult to hide such a significant loss, particularly on a shorter person. The good news, is that most of your fellow adolescents will be so self-focused (this is just a developmental thing - not a judgment) that they tend not to pay too much attention to changes in their peers. They are more worried about what they are wearing, how they look, and all the other anxieties that present themselves for this age group.

A couple of things you can do to appear a little "fuller" involve clothing. Avoid BLACK - it's very slimming - particularly in pants. Try to find shirts with HORIZONTAL , wide striping. This fools the eye into thinking there's more bulk around than there actually is. If you have no stripes, choose solids - but in DIFFERENT COLORS (top and bottom). For instance - jeans and a solid colored polo shirt. Don't wear a belt. Don't tuck in your shirt. Avoid clingy clothes (e.g., leggings, anything with lycra).

And remember: you don't have to tell a single person what happened this summer unless you want to. If someone comments (e.g., WOW - you lost a LOT of weight) - just blow it off and change the subject. Say something like - "yah - summertime and all that swimming - you know how it goes - WOW - I love your necklace - where did you get it?" Then just let them slide into talking about themselves (it works almost every time). If they continue to push - just politely shut down the conversation by saying "I've been a bit ill [this is entirely true] and it's upsetting for me to talk about, but I am getting better. Let's talk about something else".

Keep working on your recovery - it's worth it!

    Best of luck,

  3. oook... well short hair does make ur hair fuller, and if u have a fringe, pull it back, which would mean that ur face will look  broader and bigger.. but still in proportion to ur body..

uhmmm stuff your bra! that will mean that... ur b***s have grown and that will give the illusion that u have shrunk naturally... if you know what i mean.

alsoo...for the clothing problem... i would have to say baggy trousers would HAVE to be the solution because if you wear tight fitting, people willbe like WOAH!

and cuz i was anorexic  too... i my eyes were too big in comparison to my face so basically, what i did was line my eyes with black eyeliner and made the ends meet up wider.. have u seen amy winehouse? its like that but less sluttier if you get me!!

and use a tinted sun lotion for skin all over where it is visible.

cuz u suffered from anorexia, im sure that ur skin has regained its ... sparkle so by using a tinted sun lotion it will give you a glow that looks healthy..

and curly/wavy hair makes your face look fuller.

and i wouldnt go to skl in a "V" neck just yet. your bones will stick out too muchh
