  1. Hopefully,, you will have invited many friends and family who have not seen each other for a long time, and will enjoy the moments together, catching up with each other.  Make sure that you seat together the people who know each other, and who might enjoy an afternoon of chit chat and reminiscing about old times.  Make sure the older people are with the older people, and they can reminisce about the times that you were little.  They won't be paying attention to each other and probably won't be able to hear each other, so that will be fine.  Lots of times, I have seen where you have each person stand up and introduce themself, and say how they are related to the bride and groom.  That is always nice because then people can get to know each other a little bit better.  You also might go around the table and visit with each of the guests, make sure they are enjoying their meal, ask if there is anything you might get for them, and ask how they are feeling and if all is going well in their lives.  Ask the people about the relatives who were not able to attend.  Make comments like, "Oh, I am so sorry cousin Joey could not make it.  I hope he is doing well.  When does he get out of jail?"  Or, "Please send Autie Bertha my best.  I hope her surgery on her ingrown toenail was successful."

  2. Lots of alcohol :) Have fun!!

  3. See which of your friends and family has ipods - then ask 5-10 of them to fill their ipods with "wedding" friendly songs - someone will have an ipod port of some kind that will just plug into the wall - then you'll have hours of different music to keep you entertained - trust me - if you have food, drinks and music, that's all people will need - remember it's a celebration for you and your hunnie, not a circus for your friends....
