can anyone solve this problem.....:(

the following series is developed in calculus:

In (1+x) = x - x^2/2 + x^3/3 - x^4/4 +...

over what range of values for x can this series be used to calculate In(1 + x)?

a. for all values of x

b. -1<x<_1

c. -1<_x<_1

d. -infinity<x<_1

e. |x| > 1

*<_ means less than or equal to...

  1. use your calculator..

    if the value of natural log is zero the answer goes to negative infinity.

    if the value of x goes higher than one the series x - x^2/2 + x^3/3 ... explodes and goes to positive infinity.

    Therefore the only plausible solution is |x| &gt; 1
