I bought the movie Bridge to Terabithia the other day because it's really good. I love the character "Leslie Burke.

I'm really insecure and i have social anxiety. If you seen it you would know shes really brave and confident. I really want to be like her character, and everytime I feel down I want to be like "what would Leslie do?" She dosen't let anybody get in her way, i want to be just like that.

Is this weird?

thanks.

  1. Absolutley normal. Anything that helps you to overcome your anxiety is a good thing.  You have tremendous insight to your own personality and are taking positive steps to change. Leslie would  pat you on the back!! Good Luck

  2. Of course not! Everyone has a role model of some kind, and yours happens to be Leslie. C:

If it pushes you forward and helps you figure things out, more power to ya! 8D

  3. nah. you're still growing, so it's normal. don't worry about it hun, you're all good. :D

  4. no its not weird at all, its actully an intelligent way to deal with social anxiety :)

  5. no its not weird for instance i read Lamb and now everytime i think of the lesser parts of religion i say, "it's kinda like bacon"

  6. i went through a little phase like this too!  i used to be so shy i couldnt function!  now im super outgoing and people cant get me to shut up hehe!

i recommend reading "Summer Boys" by Hailey Abbott...

every time i went out i would think "What would Ella do?"  and it made me feel bold and confident.  its a very modern book and can really give great tips to girls with confidence issues.  i let my shy friend borrow it and she turned into a confident temptress within a year.... very surprising how shes the exact opposite of how she used to be after this book lol
