    Basically, you have a 4W bulb, which gives out 4 Joules every second. This goes on for 3600 seconds (1hour) for 24 hours, for 30 days (assuming that a month would have 30 days)... Assuming that a month has 30 days is usually the standard technique followed in such quesitons

    So, 4wx1month = 4j/sx1month = 4 j/s x 30 days x 24hous/day x 3600 seconds/hour = 10,368,000 joules

    I guess the blanks should read

    FIRST_BLANK=4 j/s x 30 days x 24hous/day x 3600 seconds/hour

    SECOND_BLANK=10,368,000 joules
