Ok the new school year is approaching really fast and I need some tips. 7th grade was a hard wake up but I want 8th to be much better. I'm not all that popular and people make fun of me a lot. I'm not the best student with a 3.5 GPA. And I don't have much luck with girls. If anyone can help in any of these areas with tips, advice, past experiences, or anything please answer. Thank you!

  1. Be yourself.

  2. If you are not that popular don't let it bother you it isn't really that important. I don't think people are as popular as they appear to be and you also have to realize you are probably just on another level (a higher level). This can make people feel inadequate which results in you getting teased and being less popular. You have the best sentence structure that I have seen for your grade which tells me that you are probably just distracted by your own thoughts and don't have enough focused attention left that is needed to do your work.

You need to slow down, relax and stop thinking so much. Trying too hard can be a tough one but, you will get it. It's hard to be one of the best because everyone wants to challenge you. Stupid people think "oh this person is better than me, I better give them a hard time because, I want to see them lower than me."

The more people treat you bad the better you are doing so just take the insults and see them as compliments.Never let them think they have hurt you and they will stop and sometimes try to be your friend instead, I wouldn't trust them too much too fast though. Hang in there you will get to find your place and it will be worth it.

  3. Oh, Darren,

Even though it's decades ago, I remember 7th and 8th grades to be the absolute worst!  However a 3.5 GPA is very good, something to be proud of. As for friends, just wait and watch as different cliques gather together and see which one best suits your personality. Then casually talk to each one separately. Eventually you'll be a member of their group. I found high school much better. I feel in with a group of girls that I really liked. So, hang in there. Things will get better, I promise.
