Ok ummm i was in a way with a couple bad people and we decided to steal a truck from a golf course club and steal some money along with it. Yes very stupid lol and i have a court date soon and someone told me that i might go to juvie for a couple days which sucks but whats worst is i might also have house arrest. I do cross country andi i cant stand it in the house that long and it will kill me. I alrdy wrote a letter to the club saying sorry and paying back all the money and filling up the truck with gas. Anyone have any other things i can do and if i really might go to juvie/house arrest. the judge i hear is a good guy and wont b so hard on me since im so young but i have no criminal record and a straight A student. I dont care what other punishments i get really just not house arrest or juvie. Thanks.

P.S. I want to be punished for the crime and i know i will, im not trying to make excuses or anything im just scared i guess.

  1. Just the truth.  Your conduct was somewhat sophisticated for a first time juvenile offender.  You will be lucky if you get house arrest or home detention.  And if you tell the Judge you simply cannot bear to be indoors b/c of your love of cross country... His reply will be he will send you somewhere will you will not have that temptation... juvenile custody.

This will not be over for sometime.  You will be placed on some sort of juvenile supervision or probation.  If you get into further trouble or fail to obey the courts' terms and conditions, you will end up back in jail.

  2. You will have to go to court and see what they say

  3. if this is the first time in trouble the judge will look at it.  it is a good thing you are taking responsibility for all of your actions, good step..  each state is different in the minimum time you have to service so check into it.  express to the judge how your cross country has kept you out of a lot of trouble.  drop those friends quickly, great thing to do.

  4. Well, since you stole a truck, that's an almost definate trip to Juvie AND community service. You WILL get put on probation, which isn't fun. But since you're otherwise a good kid, the judge may take it easy on you. I doubt you will get house arrest.

Just say "yes sir" or "no sir" when the judge asks you a question. lol. It shows you have respect and manners, and he will most likely take it easier on you.

I don't know you, but I really hope you don't do something like this again. I was a good kid when I was your age, but I met some bad kids that got me kicked out of my house, because I started sneaking out and doing drugs and stuff. Bad kids will mess up your life, and I'm not just saying that. Be careful, and good luck!

  5. Tell the judge what you have written here. Ask the judge what you can do. Be honest and sincere. Tell him what you have learned, how you will not be so easily influenced by others and you have a mind of your own and you know right from wrong. Good luck.

  6. To be truthful young man if it's your first offence you might get off with probation but if you have priors you better suck it up and get ready to be shipped off to a Juvenile Detention Center.

  7. ...why would you do that??? Thats so stupid. Well since you didn't do any real damage and payed everything back you should get off a little easy. I don't think they will send you to juvie or house arrest since its not the worse thing tat could happen. If they give you soemthing ask to work it off in community service.

  8. get a lawyer and try to cut a deal.. that will nt result in juvi or house arrest maybe get  probation but you will need a lawyer,, if not chances are you might go to juvy bit house arrest i doubt, since you are still going to school but then again depends onhow serious the crime was

  9. well if you have the money you can possibly do house arrest but they make you pay out of your own wallet for that. and most likely you will get mroe than a couple of days in Juvi.

  10. what is sitting on your shoulders between your ears .it was fun .value had to pay a little bit for fun

  11. should of thot of that before you stole the truck and the money pal

  12. You will probably get probation and be released into the custody of your parents. I hope this is a wake up call for you.
