  1. its hards to tell you.. but if u rly stuck if u main is long enough ust do a running braid....

u need yard... braid a 1/2in of main with the yarn slip knot the end with the yard as to tie the braid .. then go under the brain pull through and tie off...  with yarn at the top if it comming out messy or lumpy ur horses main is too long... good luck

  2. This site tells you how to do that. Hope it's what you're looking for.

  3. I have a cheat way to do it. Instead of messing with the yarn and stuff, what I do (bare with me):

    1. make sure the horses mane is clean and somewhat short, this wont work if their mane is down to their neck, several inches tops is what you need

    2. start by dividing up the mane into 13-20 sections, use the tiny rubber bands to keep the strands separate

    3. braid each individual strand and secure it at the end with a rubber band, so when you are done, you should have 13-20 braids along your horses neck

    4. take each individual braid and fold it one or two times (depending how long the mane is) up into a "button" and then secure it with another rubber band (use the same color as your horses mane, ie my horse has a black mane, I use black braid bands). So now you have a braid that is secured up into a nob shape.

    5. continue!

    6. by the end you will get the overall safe effect, it won't look as nice or as professional but it passes for the schooling shows.

heres what it looks like the way i do it:

you get better as you go, it takes less time and when you are showing it looks just as good as the other braids. you can kind of see in the photo how I folded the braids over and into themselves to secure them.

sorry if i wasnt clear, email me and maybe i can help you!

    good luck!
