Okay, so I'm typing without my index finger right now because I just got a second degree burn because I touched the metal part of my laptop charger... STUPID MOVE! But please hurry, it stings like crazy.. My question is, what do I use to help it feel better?

  1. Get a bag of frozen peas and hold them on your burn after a while the cold will numb the pain and also help with the burn itself. :)

  2. Keep running it under cool water.  If it is really bad, you can get a numbing creme from the pharmacy.  Don't know if you need an rx for it though.

  3. BUTTER!!! cold butter on it..yup

that should do it :) tahts what my mom gave me

    or theres also this website:

  4. Use a WET cloth with ice inside.Once it cools down put thick, sterile vaseline on it to keep it clean.DO NOT wrap it-let it heal openly. If no vaseline you can try peanut butter.Best of luck

  5. Ice it down and take some ibuprophen.  Both will work to relieve the pain and reduce the swelling.  If you can't take ibuprohen (Advil), then you can take tylenol, but this will only help to relieve the pain not reduce the inflammation.  I'm sorry to say, butter does not do anything for a burn.  This is an old wives tale.  If it is really a second degree burn it will blister and the skin will eventually come off, but if it is a first degree burn it will be red and will not blister.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  6. Girl dont use butter. All that will do is SEAL IN the heat and keep the pain going. Use cool water, if you have to, fill a glass with some and rest your finger in it.

  7. Hold it on an ice cube. Wrap a face cloth around the cube and finger to absorb the melt. When the cube is gone, get another.Eventually the pain will die down.

  8. okay don't be a jerk...

  9. rub butter on it

    rub tooth paste on it

Keep it clean and put some neosporin on it
