It's 6:30am, i've been waking up since 10pm off and on. I have what I guess is a really gassy stomach, churning, etc I have a dealthly fear of vomitting (emitephobia), I'm trying to tell myself if I haven't vomitted in the last 6 hours I'm probably safe, but I'm freaked out. Any suggestions? I'm a 25 year old male.

  1. Emetophobia is addressed in section 27, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris I suggest that you try the NLP, or professional hypnotherapy. Ask yourself when this began, and whether there were any changes in your life at, or immediately prior to that time. At some stage, try another type of therapy, to address the cause of the problem, rather than the symptom: emetophobia.

  2. You are right. You are safe and you are not going to vomit. Go outside and do something you enjoy.

  3. calm down, stress effects your stomach.  try alka seltzer, or even a regular coke. and relax

  4. You really need to relax. Easier said than done i know but the more you freak out the more sick you will feel. Do something to take your mind off feeling this way, sip water. And like you say after  hours your prob going to be fine.

  5. In my advice there are really no phobia, for instance acrophobia is the fear of heights they're afraid of heights they are afraid of falling down, for you my friend there are many option you are afraid of stench things or you are afraid of shame things, or for one your body has an abnormal reaction with that.
