Can contact lenses be worn under water... for example, when swimming? Is there a chance they can slip out or get destroyed?

you can wear them but you have to keep your eyes closed when under water because the water will mess them up. i personally don't get in the pool with them unless im not going under water.

Contact lenses may be worn when swimming or bathing in the sea, without problems, provided you do not open your eyes while under water.

If you do want to open your eyes under water, you should wear suitable goggles, which are available in any bathing establishment or sports shop. Also, you do not have to removes your lenses when taking a shower.

Contacts can slip out while swimming. Also wearing them in the water can you an infection if you aren't careful, because of the bacteria and stuff.
