Help me about connecting the rivers of india!?

i have got an elocution on that topic. so help me with whatever you know

has there been any such incident in world history?

what are its adverse effects?

how will it help us?

what is the success rate?

any additional info are also welcome. thank u all in advance. this is for my competition.so help please........

I would think if you were to connect the rivers of India you'd need a shovel.

I think if you want help with your elocution you have to ask for help in a way that makes sense. You are asking if there has ever been such an incident as rivers connecting in India.

I think you're missing something.

An adverse effect of the phrasing of your question is that you will have a bad 'success rate' on getting help at Yahoo! Answers, and only heaven can help you.

You want to speak in favour or against or balance both view points? There are enough arguments for each view.

As early as 1900 there have been attempt to link rivers of Southern India. Refer Frontline Magazine vol. 19, issue 25 Dec. 07 -20, 2002 there is an article 'Linking of rivers: Vision or mirage' By Ramaswamy R Iyer.

In north India river Satluj and Beas are also being linked. Search google for Satluj Beas link project for details.

There is a lot of information at the net and search for linking of rivers, linking river basins.
