Help me..............and my stain!?

Question

Last night my friend spilt bright red cherry vodka all over my parents carpet. I don't know what would be the for the best, i soaked it up last night with a towel. The carpet is 100% wool and i am afraid of ruining it. It is a sort of orange/terracotta so i cant use bleach! Please help they are home first thing in the morning. Thanks .x.

.p.s. it isn't in a place where i can put a rug?! Lol .

just use some white wine then soap and water, don't get the carpet to wet it may shrink.all the best

Oh yeah. Vacuum over it while wet. Brilliant. Liquid and vacuum cleaners = electrocution, unless it's a purpose made wet vac!

Warm washing up liquid solution and sponge then soak it up with a kitchen towel. And repeat. You probably won't get it all out as the vodka will have soaked it into the carpet well. Accidents happen, take responsibility.

Squeeze washing up detergent onto a wet sponge and rub gently.

You could try the above using Vanish soap.

or

Chemists usually stock specific cleaners/stain removers for different purposes.

Umm use water and soap. Then vaccuum over it while its wet that's what I did when I had a really bad stain and it went right away.
