Help me answer this question?

My co-worker asked me this question the other day and he said he wanted the mathematical answer. If its 0 degrees today and tomorrow it will be twice as cold, how cold is it?

It depends what degrees you're talking about. For example, if it were 0 degrees in Celsius, that's 32 degrees Farenheit, and twice as cold would logically be 16 degrees Farenheit. But 0 degrees Celsius is also 273 degrees Kelvin, and twice as cold would be 136.5 degrees Kelvin. I guess in this case, the units of measure really matter.

if it's one degree and will be twice as cold it would be zero, so if it's zero twice as cold would be minus one degree
