  1. I'm sorry. The other students should not be treating you in this way. You're right to feel that this is wrong - it really is unacceptable. I would advise you to talk to one of your teachers about it at school because there are some behaviors in life which should not be tolerated and one of them is bullying or calling a person  names related to their skin color. If this doesn't work or is not something you think would help I would still encourage you to talk to a school counsellor, friends, your parents, other people to stop this damaging your confidence. Perhaps they can help you find ways to decrease the impact their words have on you. The thing to remember if you can is that this is a sad reflection on these people and their insecurities. Unfortunately one of the ways that people try to feel better about themselves sometimes is by putting others down. You can develop confidence if you learn ways to understand their behavior as being more about them than it is about you. Also - perhaps it will help to think of this as a passing phase in your life. This all is a sign of their immaturity and as people grow up they learn to be ashamed of this sort of behavior. I encourage you to try talking to your teachers as this is wrong and I encourage you to feel good about yourself and to be confident in your goals and pursuits in life.

I wouldn't rush to change schools straight away. You might be able to stop this from happening or find ways to deal with it. However, if the situation is intolerable don't hesitate to talk to parents, teachers etc and change schools. Your happiness and learning is what is most important here.

  2. we are all the chidlren od adam and eve . everyone is beautiful, remembr you are beautiful no matter what people think, in thirtyt years it wont matter what people thoiught aboiut you or what they said about you, what will matter is what you learned and where it got you, dont ever let dropping out of school cross your mind, talk to a principal, mentor, teacher, or most importantly your parents and remebr no matter what skin tone you have you are beautiful, and you are still a human who has a functioning mind, its funny how people forget their history i thought racism was over, its horrible to know that we still have ignorant people in the world!!

  3. Well look here, Im lilly white skinned and I think you should be proud of your uniqueness! You should ignore those comments and just be yourself. Your skin tone doesnt matter one bit. They are probably jealous of you because they wish they had your skin! Be proud of the skin you're in.

  4. Ignore them, you don't get your self-esteem from ignorant, intolerant and small minded people. The multi-cultural world I live in, you would be considered exotic. 'Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.'

I remember those taunts when I was your age. Thought I was ugly and stupid. I was wrong on both accounts but it took a few years to work that one out. Please talk to your guidance counsellor. It's part of growing up and everyone is judged. Try to find your power-you have it-feed it.

  5. I'd like to kick their A$$es right now for you.  Jamaicans are gorgeous people.  They have Scottish ancestry and are so darned much fun. Have you ever been to Jamaica?  It is one of the coolest places that God ever made.  The second someone says something to you, just simply say, "I'm Jamaican, and I don't expect you to understand."  You are one of those people that is Heinz 57, like me, but I am Caucasian, so I do not have the struggle of having darker skin.

I would find that happy medium about my heritage and go with it.  Little Zahara Jolie-Pitt is very dark skinned too and very beautiful.  I sure would dress attractively too. I would not hide the fact that my skin is dark.  Do not hide behind dark colors.  Wear whites, brights, etc and enjoy.

I am not endorsing lies, but there was one little kid at a school that told a small lie about his father who had ran away and left his mother.  He told people his father wasn't here because he worked for the FBI always undercover.  Well, the little kid who always got picked on, all of the sudden was the coolest kid anywhere.  The mother never corrected his friends, and she let the lie ride.

Perception is everything.  So let us say, for the sake of argument that Bob Marley was your grandmother's cousin.  And only one big mouth at school finds that out.  By afternoon, you will be the cool Jamaican, not the darkskin, Charcoal chick.  Perception is everything.  But do not keep lying , then you will be the lying chick.  Just one tiny white lie.  And you better read up on Marley before you start saying anything about him, and you sure better know what year he passed away and what he died from.

  6. you know why people thinks your ugly BECAUSE you think that about yourself and thats so wrong! if you couldnt see yourself pretty then who COULD!

love yourself people will love you for whom you are!

there's only one god who made us all!

we'r all made of the same material no diff!

    love yourself!

better than loving other people's shapes and looks!

    good luck !

  7. Don't be working on becoming more confident. You are not confident because of the people in your school. Plead with your parents to send you to another school. Since you are in eighth grade and since you most likely don't talk about this stuff with your parents, tell them that the high school you are going to is not a good school. Tell them how crowded the school is, how bad the grading system is, how little attention you get.

Request to go to a different one. YOu may have to right a latter to the school systems super intendent explaining why.

YOur problems won't end in eighth grade. The same people will be there in high school as well.

Get out of it while you have the chance. Since you arent in high school yet, this is the perfect oppurtunity.

Also, get good grades and go into honors classes. THere are always nice kids in those classes rather than any lower track ones.

  8. if you stop caring what they think, and don't let it get to you, you will feel better and they will also eventually get over it.

it's very immature to say things like that, and i hope for your sake too that they do stop.

  9. i had the same problem as well. people just say "oh forget about it dont think abut it blahblah. they only say that because it didn't happen to them. after years of being bullied it really starts to get to you. i went to a private school where the kids were mostly Caucasian and they made me feel miserable. they called me ugly, and made fun of black people in front of me and laughed.  i came home crying almost every night, and had some depression problems, i know this might seem severe, but try asking your parents to switch schools. i did, and it was the best thing i ever did. i made friends who like me for who i am, and it feels really good. i'm not saying Caucasian kids are bad, they aren't. it was just that particular group of kids. if you don't want to switch schools, find people who really care about you. it makes you feel happy, and it makes them feel happy too. telling authorities won't do anything. you can't change those kids. they couldn't kick out over 3/4 of my middle school, so i left.

good luck with all of this.

  10. That's terrible people should not bully you over your skin color I mean we are all human right?? I would suggest you switch schools if you are being bullied by everyone but if its just one or 2 people don't feel bad about going to the principal or your parents about it!!

  11. Dont cry about it.  I think dark skin is beautiful.  People can just be mean, and people like that have problems themselves.  They feel the need to make others feel bad.  Be strong, i bet you look exotic and when you get older, nobody will care or make fun of you.  Your beautiful the way you are.

  12. trust me i am whiter than white!

and all those kids buggin u with being black!

    wish they were black themseleves!

its human nature not to be satisfied with anything!

no one likes wat they are!

and every1 looks at the others!

    so dont worry about it!

if u stand for urself once!

and am sure u`ve got it in u!

then they`ll know who they are messing with!

    yOU KICK *** MAN!

    goodluck!
