Help me buy a crotch rocket!

This lady wants to sell me this bike for $3500 b/c she just got out of a divorce. Its a 06 GSXR and should sell for 7000. She wont tell me where she is from and wants to sell it on ebay to protect herself and me. SCAM?

I lost $3000 on eBay!!! I thought I was buying a Honda Civic, they guy stole someones account and send me fradulent eBay pages, a fake tracking number, etc.

NEVER USE WESTERN UNION OR A WIRE TRANSFER.

THE ONLY SAFE THING IS PAYPAL!!!

No location is a sign. Also if they only use email as communication instead of eBay pages. If the transaction doesn't show up on your ebay its a scam.

Scam. Walk away. It could have a lien against it (bank loan not paid off) or it's still in her husband's name (no clear title).

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Half price bikes are a sure sign of a scam, although bad divorces do lead to half price bikes. How does she expect you to inspect the bike or receive it?

Yes, otherwise how do you pick it up?  You could ask for escrow on the ebay transaction to protect yourself, but I bet she won't go for it.  Unless she lies to ebay, you can request a persons name and address.
