basically..im 2 seconds away from deciding whether i want a zune 80 or ipod classic...can somebody give me serious reasons why i should NOT buy the 2nd Generation Zune 80s...I dont own a Mac..so i dont care about compatilbility in that respect...also, i rip my own music and dvds, so a subscription service means nothing to me. I basicaly want it fo my fav tv shows, vids, movies..and my semi large collection of music...i am seriously having trouble deciding between the ipod and zune...and when i research, i like knowing what sucks about a device, rather then whats good, also...its hard finding an unbiased review on each which is why i came here! please help wonderful yahoo community!

  1. i have an ipod classic 80 gb. and its f u c king fabulous. =]

thats just me though, ive heard some horrible stories about the zune screens breaking/cracking because the battery is behind the screen and it gets to hot. not sure if its true, oh and also i guess the warranty won't cover it, if it does break.

ipod in some ways are a pain in the a s s but hey, you cant beat the quality of sound and picture. =]

my only complaint would be its kinda hard to install itunes but its totally worth it.

and i don't use itunes, and i have no problems getting songs from limewire and such. im even downloading a movie for my ipod right now [=

so i hope i helped, ipods are the way to go!!

  2. You really can't compare the two. It's like comparing dog sht (ipod) to Birthday cake (Zune). Witch one wold you rather have?

I've been threw a few (6) ipods over the last 2 years. They are junk. They only last a few weeks/months then you will have to send it to Apple to get fixed a few months later you will have to send it back. I've had my Zune for about a year now and never even had to reset it. It is flawless compared to ipod.

The Zune has a glass screen witch is hard to scratch or break. The screen is bigger than the ipod and the Zune has a built in FM radio. The Zune has more features than ipods. The Zune software is way easier to use and set up. I don't know about customer support ( I haven't had to call them yet) but for Apple there customer support is horrible, if your lucky enough to speak to someone that speaks the same language as you, you would have scored big time.
