  1. radio shack r u nutz dude thttp://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/... like walmart stuff go to a car audio dealer or sumthing

  2. $69.00??You better double check on this...I think this sub will jump out the box and run down the street if you put 700 w rms to it..a good 700w sub will cost you about $200-$450

  3. Dude dont even think about getting that woofer. Go with kicker no question about it!

  4. cheapest is usually not the best bet

when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    JVC

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    Memphis

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)

as you can see, Boss is not on the list (if you sent them their "real" rated RMS wattage they would be toast) and kenwood subs are not so hot

  5. The most powerful is the one that has a higher RMS rating. Always go for RMS when choosing for power because the RMS is the true rating in POWER that a speaker can handle not the PMPS or peak. RMS stands for Root Mean Squared. This is a unit of measurement in determining the real power delivered and consumed by an electrical device (such as speaker) that is operated by an alternating current. Speakers are operated by AC wave form. Too technical but just stick with the higher RMS. Same is true when choosing an AMP - go for RMS rating! The diameter of the speaker is directly proportional to the sound Decibel it produces so the bigger the diameter the better sub performance and of course with a higher RMS. Don't rely on the brand always. Go for performance and right technical specs!

  6. Definitely go with the kickers! Boss audio over rates their stuff. It may say that it is 700 rms, but trust me, it isnt. The comp is going to do its true rms. If these are the cvr, then they should be 500rms, and that is plenty in kicker power. Also, try hookedontronics.com They have great prices, and everything i have bought from there is legit and shipped quickly.

  7. In my opinion Kickers are the best out the 3. I wouldnt waste my time or money on the DA's at radioshack. Go to an actual audio shop like the previous poster said and talk to someone who actually knows what they are doing and are not just out for your money.
