Help me explain 08 Olyimpics?

Why is there Football tournament we have Euro 08 and how did Holand Serbia Italy Belgium i mean how are they in this tournament can you play euro 08 and olympics 08 i dont understand

Under 21 (of age) teams will represent their respective nations at the Olympic games, while senior teams will take part at Euro 2008.

Last Under 21 Euro championship's been played last year, the next in 2009.

Edit. to clarify: Olympic rules says "Under 23", but in fact European Countries will send their Under 21 representatives since over that age players are used to play in the senior team.
