Help me figure out my sister- inlaw's plan?

I'm trying to figure out the foster care system, I have two nephews that my sister- inlaw droped off three weeks ago, and so far she doesn't want to pick them up, my husband isn't trying to help me figure her plan either, he doesn't want me to report them to any authority figures.

So my question is, does she have to pay for child care if her kids are in foster care system? I'm suspecting that's the primary reason she's doing this.

I'm not trying to adopt them nor gaining coustodies of two kids, it's too much responsibility and liability on us

  1. I know a boy that got dropped off by his mother who lied and told him he was going to the store with her and he kept wishing that she  would come back for him the foster parent sexually abused him to the point that he started sounding g*y, and nobody would ever help him

  2. No, they don't have to pay child care. Child support possibly, but not specifically child care and not enough to cover all of their expenses. But you are probably right in that that is not her true reason. Think about this.....If something happens to one of those boys and you don't have any power of attorney or anything what will happen?? The hospitals can not do Anything but life saving measures without a PARENT or GUARDIANs consent. Your sister in law and honestly your husband are being irresponsible bu not making sure this is taken care of. Without at the very least a POA you can do absolutely nothing for these boys, no decisions, school, emergencies, NO medical care.

  3. Usually a judge somewhere down the line'll order a child support payment be made by either/both parents-even while the children are in the State's custody.

So, indirectly, she'll be ordered to pay...
