Help me find a (couples) vacation destination?

Question

My husband am I are looking to take a belated honeymoon and need some advice. Criteria (I know I am picky so and understand that I will not get all of the below):

-Fall Time (Oct/Nov.)

-Warmer weather

-Couples friendly (not nec. a honeymoon place, but not like a Disneyworld "kiddie" sorta place)

-Little to no Driving

-Fairly safe to walk around in non-resort areas

-Fairly inexpensive with air from PDX $1K or less pp for 5 days

-Near water (beach, pools, etc)

-Not picky about what hotel rooms look like inside.

-Not interested in night scene (ie. clubs/bars)

-I am a vegetarian and do not eat gluten (wheat-free)

Although I don't dislike a cruise-style atmosphere I would also like to be on a quiet beach and act more like a local than a tourist when it comes to where to go. My dream vacation would involve lying on a beach half the time and shopping at an outdoor market the other half. I would also like to spend some kissy kissy time w/ the hubby.

I had this question on my watchlist, because I thought I would get some ideas from this also. Unfortunately, there has been no responses.

Anyway, we are thinking of going to Dubai for honeymoon.

Dubai has a beach, shopping and I believe there is some water activities.
