We are a family of four, with two children (7 and 2) We are looking for a nice family vacation spot within the U.S. and in the south. I don't think Disney World would be a good ideal withe my 2yr. old, since she would be too small to ride anything and my husbands not big on ride. I 'd like something by a beach and not real outdoorsie.

  1. Well, I'm a big "rides" person and I didn't like Disney one bit cuz I was expecting lots of roller coasters when I went. I think they've changed a lot since I've been and it now has something for everyone, even your two-year-old. They have rides but you'd all have plenty to do without riding any of them. I would check out their website and maybe even the Travel Channel website and see what kind of info you can get on Disney World. I watched a behind-the-scenes at Disney World show on the Travel Channel and it was really good- the parks looked really interesting since they upgraded them.

  2. go to like canada or hawaii! its fun good luck with your vacation tho ♥

  3. There are alot of places, Virginia is a wonderful place, if you want to be by the beach, look for places around Virginia Beach.  Virginia has alot to offer, it is beautiful and also if you do decide to go to a theme park, there is Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion, both are very fun and do offer alot for kids.  Also in Chesapeake, (not too far from VA beach) there is a place called Fun Forest, (if you look on google you will find websites about it to give you more info) I played there as a kid and it was alot of fun. It is a huge playground with so much to do, there is even a huge sandbox to dig dinosaur fossils. There is also a playground for the younger children.  You can also picnic there and many other things.  When I lived there, there was a place called Funscape. I'm sure it is still there, but it is a very fun place for kids. They have everything from motion rides, goofy golf, bumper cars, arcade games.  Also a very nice place is the Jamestown settlement. You see the ships that the English sailed to VA on, see the villages they built, and even where Pocahontas and her family lived.  You can get more information about it online.

Other than that, maybe Myrtle Beach in North Carolina, or Gulf Shores,Alabama or somewhere on the Florida Panhandle. Good luck!
