Hi, I need help finding out if I am really related to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This story has been circulated though my dad's side of the family for the longest, but no one on my dad's side knows where the story started. I thought I would get to ask some of the family members of the late Coretta Scott King, but she passed before I could ask her anything, and I have no Ideal where to start looking for the rest of the family members. all I have is her social, and I don't have any money at all. I tried looking though old phonebooks, but none seem to have what I'm looking for. Please help me, I would greatly apreciate it!

Coretta C. King (and yes, this is my real name, In fact, I got it because of the story.)

(Martin Luther King is - you are lucky. All you have to do now is verify the information.)

Yours will take you 100 - 300 hours of work, spread out over as many days, weeks and months as you want to devote to it. It can take a lifetime, but in 300 hours you should be able to get back to people alive in 1870, and that, for almost all African-Americans, is where you get stopped.
