  1. Nature's Miracle is a great stain and odor remover

  2. well first wash it. laundermats have large washers big enough to hold a couch cushion. you can try using vinegar and water mixed it a spray bottle. or you can try simple solution which is found at petsmart i use both of these with great success

  3. I use to have the same problem

At my house I used this really cheap dollar store brand foam and its for carpets so you spray it on the cushion all over it and let it sit for about ten minutes and then scrub all over the cushion. I recommend  air drying it but the washing machine idea works too

  4. Take the cover off and soak in 3 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 c. water, and 2 tbsp. dishwashing soap.  let soak for an hour. then rinse, ring or blot dry with a towel.  Line dry if possible.

Take the cushion outside and start by blotting up as much of the urine as possible with old rags or paper towels. Next mix 3 parts water with one part vinegar and saturate the spot. Dry thoroughly by blotting again (with clean rags). Once dry, sprinkle the area with baking soda. Next mix ¾ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution with one tsp. dish detergent and sprinkle over the baking soda. Next, use your hands to press the baking soda in.  Allow this to dry and vacuum it up. If there’s still a slight odor when done, lather, rinse and repeat.  (Youcan also try this method on the cushion cover, but the peroxide might bleach the fabric; do a test first)

    good luck!

  5. Try Urine Gone. You can get it at Wal Mart for 10 bucks. It works well, in my experience.

  6. This stuff... it works MIRACLES, better yet, if for some odd reason it doesn't work, they have a money back guarantee.

  7. Luci,

The urine goes all the way through the foam so you need to get whatever you use to clean it all the way to it.  Otherwise, it's not going to help.

So  -  the product to use is called "Simple Solution".  It comes in a jug or spray bottle and you get it at pet stores like petco or petsmart.  It's got beneficial live bacteria in it that break down organic compounds and neutralize them.  It's made specifically for killing the odors of nasty stuff that comes out of our pet's bodies - whether it's poo, pee, or upchuck.    It cost more, but the jug will go further. and you get ALOT more of the stuff.  I'd get the jug just to make sure I had enough if it were me.    It's got a very benign, somewhat floral smell of it's own that will fade as soon as it's dry.

The next thing is - it has to make it all the way to the pee for it to work.  If you can take the cushion off, that would be best.  I'd probably dilute the stuff half and half with water, then take the foam cushion out of it's fabric cover and mash it into the liquid so that it's soaked all the way through.  Let it set for awhile, then mash the liquid out and leave it to dry.    That should do the trick.

  8. Go to PetSmart OR PetCo, they have stuff that will take care of that for you. It will also discourage your pet from going in that same place again.

  9. You have lots of great answers.  I just want to let you know that I feel your pain. I just had to take out a carpet 2 days ago for the very same reason

  10. 1st~~ you have to find the exact spot that the urine is.#2. get a black light, turn off all the lights at night and "scan" the couch.find the spot, #3. put some type of solution that "eats" the odor.A good pet shop,or a vet sells the good stuff

  11. Wash it in the machine with Vodka. I had a friend tell me to do it and I thought she was nuts, but it really worked.  I bought the least expensive vodka I could find and put some in a spray bottle. I sprayed the cushion down and let it sit an hour to pretreat. I then washed it in hot water with 2 cups of vodka added to it.  It came out like new. Plus it leaves no odor a human can smell, and the light one the cat can smell will keep it from peeing on it again.

  12. Seriously Nature's Miracle is the only thing that will work!  Drench it all over in there!!!!
