  1. Sorry--we would need a much more detailed description of the aircraft to begin to attempt to identify it.  It's shape, color, apparent size, and more about the "smoke" you see.  Is it black smoke, white condensation, or some other color.

Can you possibly get a picture of the airplane and post it on one of the internet picture sites and give us the URL?

Then we could take a crack at identifying it.

  2. it could be anything from a fighter jet to a 747. Also, it's just water vapor. There is no one aircraft that does that, just about every one that flies high enough, which is most of them, will do that. It's just the way it works.

  3. It may be Superman !

  4. Not the answer to your question but that isn't a smoke trail, those are contrails.

  5. it's not smoke, read the answers to your previous question

  6. That isn't smoke. It is condensed ice crystals that are formed when the extremely cold moisture in the atmosphere is "disturbed" by the high speed aircraft passing through the air. After a short time, the disapate back into the air. The are referred to as contrails.

  7. What? There are many thing wrong with this question. the first being that the"748" is a type of motercycle, not an aircraft. Secondly, any type of aircraft can leave contrails under the right conditions. (they usualy have to be at high altitude)(except sailplanes. lol)

  8. jet

  9. They are all jets.  The 'smoke' is just vapor, explained in here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrail

  10. A contrail is liquid water--not water vapor.  Water in its vapor state is not visible.

  11. Have you tested this "Smoke"? Are you sure it's not just a con trail? 1-5 could leave those in the sky, among others.

  12. All jets and high-flying turboprops leave a white contrail behind them when conditions are right. It's not just one type of plane.

  13. It is called contrails or can also be named ice crystal fog. This happens at an altitude of at least 35,000 feet. The hot high velocity gas that is expelled frm the turbines at temperatures reaching 600 degrees celsius are being condense and cooled straight away to the surrounding temperature at 35,000feet which is -56.3 degrees celsius and this is a rapid process. The condensation produce this fog out of the engines.
