In Winston-Salem, NC There is a senior services area that does meals on wheels. About 10 minutes away there is a street that's like Maud.. It starts with a M ... its on the meals on wheels route

Have you checked out google.com/maps? You can hit street view along most of this route and actual see what the area looks like.

The senior center seems to be at 502 North Broad Street 27101 - the university at 601 S Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Winston Salem, NC. I don't see anything along that path - but it might jog your memory. Also WS publishes a list of private streets as well.  Moat - Starts with a M - has two vowels - ends with a consonant. Same pattern as Maud... lol!
