Help me finding a present for a girl!?

Hi, so here's the thing! I have a friend who has a friend who is new to this country, we hanged out a couple of times for the last 6 months but it's this girls bday and she is throwing a really big party and invited me through my friend. I don't really know what things she likes and I am kind of short on money, i don't wanna spend more than 20 bucks on a present. Any ideas of what to give her? will it be rude if i show up with no present?

Better yet, go to a clothing store and buy a nice blouse. You'll find some good deals at Ross.
