I need 20 social norms, because I have no idea what social norms are, and don't even bother trying to explain it to me, because I still wouldn't be able to tell you even 1 social norm...

Please help me out?

A social norm is a rule that is enforced by society.  Social norms are enforced by dirty looks and harsh reprimands.  A social norm is different from a law because it is not enforced by police.  Examples would include:

- It's wrong to pick your nose in public.

- When you burp, say "excuse me."

- When someone sneezes, say, "bless you".

- If there aren't any seats left on a bus, and a really old or really pregnant person gets on, you should give them  your seat.

- Turning off the lights when you leave a room.

- Be kind, rewind.

- Give your boss/teacher a present at Christmas.

- When taking a shower, don't use up all the hot water.

- Take down your Christmas lights after Christmas.

- Mow your lawn every once in a while.

- Don't swear casually.
