  1. go get a prepaid phone you dont need a parent for that and you use your own money so they wouldnt have to pay the bill or anything. you just use your minutes and when you need more you go buy more. easy peasy

  2. tell them its good for emergencies.

if anything happens and there's a fugitive,

you can snap a picture and turn it into the police.

tell your parents you can keep in contact with them. (:

    hope this helps! :D

  3. they can keep intouch with you.

its another thing they can take away if your grades go down.

um, don't get a tracfone. the phones may be getting better, but do you really wanna pay 25 cents a minute?

    I have a net10 phone.

net10 is antoher phone company under tracfone. its exactly like tracfone, but its 10 cents a minute and 5 cents a text.

(the brochure says copyright 2008 tracfone)

i have a moto w375 and i love it. but its 60 dollars.

if you order from their website, i'd get a reconditioned lg 1500.

its a really good phone. but it doesn't have a camera.

the next one would the the lg 600G.

    i want that phone.....

  4. How old are you? sorry from england don't know what seventh grade is really Im guessing like 10/11?

thats a bit too young but i was like it when i was younger.

    ok:

Phone them when your out with friends if in danger

keep in contact when out with friends f they want you home.

sorry thats all i can suggest seeing as your young.

    Good luck.

  5. Start off with a prepaid phone first so that way your parents can see how responsible you are with the phone. and tell them that its only for emergancies.

  6. go to http://www.net10.com/new_customer.jsp it only cost 10cents per min. and 5 for txting they r nice phones. just tell ur mom that u think because u r older now u should get a cell offer to do more around the house

  7. Um...wasn't this asked already?  Just pointing out.

Well, the way I got my cell phone was because I was a 3 sport athlete during middle school and high school, and with changes in practice times and game times and such, I needed a good way to contact my parents to let them know.  My mom and dad would sometimes give me their cell phones, but after awhile we all sat down and talked it out and decided I needed to get one.  So that's how I got mine.

Now, if you just say that you want to keep in touch with your friends (especially if they go to the same school you do), then your parents will just bring up that point and say "no."  So, do your research, find a Go phone or something that will be cheap for them, and ask them and show them the research.  If they say "no" don't pitch a fit, just take it in stride and then ask again later (like a few weeks or so later, hounding them won't get you anywhere)

  8. im your age 13 rite? ok well just say please daddy thts what i did haha

  9. i got a tracfone in 6th grade . it was just fine .you can get ones with cameras and everything too .

    suggestions :

if i need to contact you in case of an emergency .

you can always contact me .

    tracfones aren't a monthly fee .

if i want to talk to friends later in the night & you don't want them calling the house .

the camera on the phone could replace an expensive digital camera .

    hope this helps !
