Help me get a lip ring!?

please dont answer if your against lip rings but if you have one how on EARTH did you convince your parents to let you get one? i have all A'S and B's im not a bad kid except for my cloths which are idk...punkish and i love it that! my parents have excepted the cloths and now my mom loves to buy them for me now.... sorry im off subject. but help me convince them PLEASE! :-) lol

Do it your self. Numb your lip with ice, put rubbing alcohol on the needle and on your lip to disinfect & pierce it.

first of all, dear god please do not do it yourself. lol you could really **** it up and it could get infected. actually i just read a story about this kid who did it himself and hes in the hospital now cause of an infection.

i dont have one.. unfortunatly. i want spiderbites SO badly! my mom says lip rings give off a bad image or whatever. shes so annoying lol

anywaaays,

well you could always mention your good grades and stuff. tell them something like "dont you think i deserve a reward for how good im doing in school?"

tell them this is how you choose to express yourself and you can always take it out if you need too (for jobs and such)

and if they pull the whole "bad image" thing just tell them you dont care what other people think of you, you like to be an individual and as long as you like yourself thats all that matters.

you might also want to say you could pay for it yourself. even if your bluffing it might get them to realize how serious you are about it.

if that still doesnt work, threaten to pierce it yourself.

and if they STILL dont say yes.. im out of ideas lol

i tried all that with my mom and she still said no, so it might not work haha

but my moms like crazy strict when it comes to that stuff. she wont even let me dye my hair!

if want a piercing that badly and they say no, you could try going for a something else like a nose or eyebrow ring. thats what i did, and now i have my nose pierced haha

but just to let you know, its going to hurt like **** lol

i screamed when i got my nose done and lip hurts more then that

my friend got hers done and she passed out. but she also passed out when she got her cartilage done so that doesnt say much haha

just make sure you really want it and are really ready for one before you go begging your parents thats all!

I'm not against them, because hey it's your body, but technically until you are 18, you mom is still in charge of your body. She most likely doesn't think it is necessary, and figures you will regret it later in life. If she is saying No trust me there is no way to convince her, it took me 2 years to convince my  mom to let me get my belly button pierced, she finally gave in when I was 17, now that I am old enough to do whatever I want to my body without her approval, she Still doesn't want me to get any tattoos/piercings. So just give her time....

forget about what those other girls said, obviously they're AGAINST it when you clearly said don't answer.

how i convinced my parents, is i kept asking and asking but they didn't let me. so one day i got it on my own, they saw it on me and got pretty mad, but then they realized i did really want one. so they agreed to pay for my next one!

that probably won't work, but you can just put all what you said about being a good student and a good kid, compromise with them. tell them you'll take care of yourself (you do take care of yourself right?).

if they think it'll affect on you getting a job, just tell them, it's not permanent, you can always take it our right?!

Sometimes parents wont budge. Sometimes you have to either prove yourself to them somehow or just wait till your 18 (which is pretty g*y).
