Now I have to take this gel stuff that goes in my v****a and it has applicators and stuff, but Ive never used anything like this before.

Can somebody please give me some insight, and tell me how the cream is going to stay in there?

Can I die from taking this medicine?

The doctors looked at it, they did a pap smear type thing.

And then shes like "oh looks like an yeast infection" she comes back and says "never mind its just a bacterial infection, and we will give you medicine to put in your v****a" it is called METRONIDAZOLE.

I am very intimidated by this medicine.

  1. Metronidazole is an antibiotic, one that I have taken for a similar infection in the past. The cream is a good thing as it means you're not getting the antibiotic into your system, just on the infection where it is needed. I assume you use it like a pessary, just insert the applicator into your v****a as high as you can comfortably put it, press the applicator so it goes in, and then just leave it to do its job. It'll come out on its own over the next couple of days, although some will be absorbed into the infected vaginal walls to make the infection go away. If you itch or burn horribly, tell the doctor, otherwise don't worry!

  2. it’s ok just do what the box tells you and use it before you go to bed so you want be moving around as much and take care of it now before it gets  so bad it makes you sick

  3. You can't die from the cream. It won't stay in there either. It will slowly come back out. So you will need to wear a pantiliner.

  4. didn't it come with directions? most medications come with a 1800 number for questions if not you could always call your doctor back and ask! It wouldn't of been recommended to you if it wasn't safe.

  5. i have bacterial vaginosis and use this medicine.  it is perfectly safe and will help to clear the infection.  this type of infection is caused by unstable bacteria in the v****a.  there are good bacteria and bad bacteria.  for some reason, the bad bacteria decided to attack.  insert the applicator as far as you can, deposit the cream, take applicator out and throw away.  you might want to wear a pantiliner just in case, but this cream is designed to stay in your v****a for several days.  it should not ooze out a great deal.  try to do this right before you go to bed so you can lay down flat soon after you insert the cream.

  6. if the doctor prescribed it, it shouldn't kill you.
