  1. If your mom isnt concerned about it, something is wrong with her. I would be concerned. If she won't take you to a doctor and you do go to school, maybe you can ask in confidence a health teacher or a school nurse. They will take you to the dr. theirselves. I have no clue what it could be if you have never started your period. i know I have had blackish looking periods before, but not purely black. Please, if your mom won't take you, tell someone you trust, even if it is a friend's mom. I'm worried, let me know what happens.

  2. this is normal to happen after a period. but since you havn't had your period yet, it could be a sign that it is going to start soon.

if it doesnt stop within the next week or so talk to your mom, and try to go to the doctor.

but its completely normal to get that.

  3. if you're that concerned just go see a doctor.  you're thirteen now, so it could just be your period coming since it's about time.  sometimes before i get my period it is very dark brown like you are describing and it's normal.  if it continues to happen for another week to a week and a half or so just go see a doctor.  i hope this helps. :)

    p.s  don't be scared!

  4. Don't worry I think your fine. When girls start their period things are off balance and weird sometimes. I think it is just blood. Because when blood touches the air for a long time it does turn black, eventually. So don't worry. Drink plenty of water. And if it is still like this after about a week, go to the doctor, don't stress too much. Stress only does BAD things to your body.

  5. dont worry hun it just means that  ur period is going to start soon and if it doesnt happen this month then it might happen the next.

Ur body is getting ready to start.

  6. your grossssssssssssssssss

  7. Maybe go see a doctor. But I wouldn't get too worried about it.  If you had discharge before that means that you are ready to start your period.  Period blood can look extremely dark, and often a dark brown color when you get it for the first time.

  8. hello lisa,

what you might probably be going through is a slow FIRST time period...yeah it's aka as MENARCHE..

the Black blood is fresh and since your flow is slow, it's mixed with discharge.

as long as there is no itchiness or redness then you should be fine! but if you don't feel safe call a dr and make an appt!

  9. it could just be dark dark brown which means your period could be starting real soon...

but if its really black i would go to the doctor =\

  10. if its really dark brown, it could be your first period, cause mine was verryyy dark brown and looked almost black the first time i got mine and my mom told me it was my period and ive been getting it ever since only its red now, it will start to get red later on but if it really is black, you shuold go see a doctor, or maybe go see one anyway just in case

  11. This is the start of your first period.

The blackis stretchy stuff is clotted blood.

This is normal, not ALL women get this, but a lot do (i get this).

Don't worry Honey, just treat this like you learned how to treat your period.

    - Take a warm bath and relax.

    - Put a pad into your underwear

    - or Use a Tampon (follow the instructions)

    - Rest

    - Drink Lots Of Water

    - Use a Heating Pad on your Stomach if you get cramps.

    - Tell your mom you got your first period.

Here are a couple good website about your first period:

  12. Relax, your period is just starting.  Talk to your mother or an adult female.  Everything your are describing is normal.  All it is blood, lining from the uterus.   Just relax and if you have school remember to put a pad in your purse/backpack.   Take care and don't panic.

  13. go see a doctor somthing maybe wrong

  14. well what did your mom say about it?

like did she not say anything at all or what?

Well if yor mom isnt a help for you then talk to a trusted female adult. Such as your doctor, counselour, aunt, grandmother, cousin, ETC.

I think this is normal because when i got my first period, the blood was like a dark brown *Almost black* So, this is your period but if it is black (the exact color) then you need to get checked at the doctors. Good Luck and hope you get your answer!

  15. you are starting your period. mine looked very similar to that

  16. Your body is probably just getting ready to start your period. Don't worry about it so much. The darker the color the older it is so it's probably just old blood that looks really dark. If you're really worried about it you can go and talk to your school nurse maybe since your mom isn't concerned. I would say if you're concerned to see your doctor but if your mom isn't that concerned about it just trust her, if it was serious your mom would want to do what's best for her daughter's health. Wait it out for a while and see what happens. My bet is that you're starting your first cycle soon, though and you're body is just getting ready.

  17. Sometimes girls there first periiod ever is that color.. Its kinda scary and kinda freaks you out when your not thinking that thats how its suppose to start.. But its more than likely normal.. Ask your doctor if you are still worried abou it.. Best of luck

  18. if you don't have money for a doc, call a public health nurse & explain the prob with her or him.
