  1. Go to an audition.

  2. smack her... JOKINGG lmao ..haha ...well u could take her to the side(insist and say its an or theres something wrong )and tell her to listen and not to interrupt ..politely.  and tell her how ur feeling and see how she reacts. she could lash out. Or she could say shes sorry and didn't realise that. but at least u wouldn't have embarrasses Ur self later and lashing at her for nothing ..lol.. Or u could just accept that shes just trying to help you

  3. Sounds like she wants to put you down to lift herslef up. Try putting her out of your mind. Im sure that will be easier said then done. Dance for yourself. There will always be someone better. Even better than what this girl thinks she is. Just do what is in your heart to do.

  4. Are you dancing for recognition or for you.  Be aware of your own motivation and do what fulfills it.  If you do it for you because your soul knows you love it and that you were born to do it, recognition will come.  If you're doing it for recognition, you may get good enough to receive it, but no amount will be enough.

Some teachers think that it's doing their job well to keep pushing you to do better no matter how good you are.  If this is something you truly love doing, keep doing it and do your own judging of every move.

Watch yourself doing it from outside if you have that ability... get someone to tape you.  If you don't have that ability you can still feel for the flow of it.  I used to skate and when you get it right you can feel it.  Just keep practicing and aiming for that feeling.  Don't get discouraged by anyone else's negativity.

If what she say's has merit push for that extra perfection.  If you can feel inside that feeling that what your doing is wonderful, then shake off what she has said, and keep dancing from your heart.

Sometimes not perfecting what someone else has done, is an act of creating.  That is Art, but Artist's as everyone knows don't always receive recognition in their own time.

You still want recognition?  Put yourself out there.  Look for whatever opportunities that are out there for people to see what you can do... even if that means just going to dance clubs and dancing there.  Try out for local productions... if you have to, create opportunities for yourself.

Look for a stage and organize an event that would allow you to do what you do in front of an audience.  Give others a chance to showcase their own talents as well.  The more people involved in the production the bigger your audience.

Still lacking an audience?  Look for a cause and approach an existing nonprofit to help publicize the event as a way to raise money for something allot of people care about.  If they say no, try another, until you get a yes.  If you have the drive to work for it you will get what you want.

  5. Practice, practice, practice.  : )
