i was assigned to report with the developmental task of Havighurst and i want to understand what do this mean and what are its example:

INFANCY AND EARLY CHILDHOOD

=learning s*x differences and sexual modesty

=achieving physiological stability

=forming simple concepts of social and physical reality

MIDDLE CHILDHOOD

=Building wholesome attitudes toward oneself as a growing organism

=Developing attitudes toward social groups and institutions

ADOLESCENCE

=Accepting one’s physique and using the body effectively

=Acquiring a set of values and an ethical system as a guide to behavior

EARLY ADULTHOOD

=Taking on civic responsibility.

=Finding a congenial social group

MIDDLE AGE

=Relating oneself to one’s spouse as a person.

LATER MATURITY

=Establishing an explicit affiliation with one’s age group

=Adopting and adapting social roles in a flexible way

i already understand a little with its stages but not that much that's why i need your help and understanding with this stages written above. you don't have to give example to all of the stages but what you understand is what i need. like for example what do you mean by achieving physiological stability in an early childood..and so on and so forth. thank you very much and god bless!

  1. I have no idea what Havinghurst is but I will give it a shot.

When are very young, in the infant early childhood stage, you quickly learn that members of society can be divided into two categories, boys and girls, and that those two categories are mutually exclusive.

You begin to understand one's place in society and how society functions as very large singular organism.

In adolesence you begin understand what is real and what is fake, what is possible and what is not possible.  You also begin create a sort of moral code that forms the backbone of your opinions and beliefs about the world.

In early adulthood you begin serving as part of the large...you know what I am just rewording what you already have.  I will quit.
