  1. what kind of help do you need?  I suggest not looking into the mining industries website, unless you too dont think these substances are harmful.  Remember that everything flows downhill, including water, and that water is what we drink.


  2. 1) The underflow dam is intended to strain out the worst of the mineral contamination.  The effluent is more than likely still pretty toxic to the environemnt.

    2) The chemicals are intended to break down other products into usable forms.  The remnents are toxic as well and nedd to be remediated.
