  1. You need to go to a therapist.  If you can't do that when you feel yourself having the beginning of a panic attack just close your eyes and think of something that makes you very happy and it will ease the panic attack (it is called your happy place...silly I know but it works).  I've suffered from panic attacks myself and went to a therapist and that is what I was told to do and it works.  I completely understand the symptoms of an attack and it does feel like you are going to die but instead of fighting it just do what I suggested and it takes your mind off of what is happening and eases the panic attack.  You may want to go to your doctor and get a prescription for Paxil or something similar which will help with your anxiety which then results in panic attacks.

  2. This is something I have dealt with in the past, and still deal with. Quite frankly, the whole thing sucks. It will take a bit for you to learn to control the now automatic reactions that you have. Being a worry wort is different than having panic attacks, simply because panic attacks scare the c**p out of you. What you need to do first is try and see if this is an emotional thing, or a chemical thing. Sometimes panic is just an emotional reaction to something else, i.e. headache, stomach ache, and what not. If it is a chemical thing, then that means that your brain does not produce enough serotonin, or too much adrenaline. First it may help you to notice any pattern that there may be by keeping a small notebook with you. Try to be sure to put down the date and time, and try to figure if you maybe have too many stimulants like caffeine, chocolate, sugar, ginseng is a big one for me; I avoid it like the plague. After you figure if you do want to write it out or not, try to analyze just what automatically throws you into a panic. It's not easy at first, but being aware of yourself is key. It runs in my family, and my sister and I realized that a panic attack would start after we were subconsciously holding our breath before we began to panic. It wasn't even voluntary, just a reaction that we didn't recognize right away. Try making sure you breathe deep to the slow count of five, and do the same when you exhale. If this eventually allows you to curb panic, you can find other proactive ways of avoiding them. Like, instead of automatically thinking you're going to die, calmly remind yourself; it's just a headache, grab some headache meds, or try massaging your temples. If you get headaches a lot, like everyday, then  head to the doc's and make sure you don't have a sinus infection. Trust me, no panic necessary. It took me forever to figure it out, but once I knew the cause, I panicked A LOT LESS. The more you know, the less your mind can wander into the freak out zone. There is usually always a logical explanation. There have been times I have seriously worried about something that I started to panic; go outside, do research, anything; just don't sit there alone, because it really only makes it worse. For me, being around others allows me to come down and chill, being alone just makes it absolutely wretched. I know this was super long, but having been there repeatedly, I know how it feels. Completely uncontrollable, but it really is completely controllable. You just have to find the right handle to steer yourself away from it. I hope this has helped a bit, but even if it didn't, at least you now know you are definitely not the only 1.

  3. try Sam-E + Vitamin B =works wonders

    dont drink caffeineted beverages

eat alot so brain is busy getting nutrients

  4. I would go to your Dr. and tell him what brings the attack,on.Because their is social anxiety disorder, general anxiety disorder, and panic anxiety disorder.Yours sounds like general. It all has to do with a chemical inbalance in the brain and their are different kinds of meds.

  5. See a MD it is a very common medical problem that can be cured with medication and or therapy. You wouldn’t believe how common this problem is and how easy the cure is.. Just call your MD, tell them you get severe panic attacks, it should all be covered by your medical insurance.

In the mean time focus on your breathing when you get attack, breath in slow through the nose breath deep, feel it hit the bottom of your lungs hold just for a slight second, exhale in a controlled manner. Really concentrate on this, know this is a very common medical problem, also tell your self nothing physically bad will happen to you and you have complete control over the situation.

  6. every body worries about their own body as well.

But think "I got a head ache last time and I survived, I'll be fine". You don't have to worry so much, but if you think something is wrong with you, visit a doctor (if its an emergency of course).

  7. Seredyn, 5-HTP, Valerian, and St.John's Wort are natural herbal supplements that work great. I will use them the rest of my life! I would recomend antidepresants if panic attacks are severe though. I just like natural remidies because there are no side effects.
